Ingredients

  • 1 small can of Garbanzo beans (chick peas)
  • 1 garlic clove – minced
  • 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 tsp. paprika
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Toasted pita bits for serving

Method

1 – Drain the liquid from the garbanzo beans and reserve ½ cup of the liquid. Place all of the ingredients except the pita bits into a food processor. Process until smooth. Add the reserved bean liquid and continue to blend until smooth. Remove from the processor and place onto your favorite serving platter. Serve with toasted pita.
